Gamers Paradise. Purchased from newegg for 215$.
I was due to build a gaming rig since long and I finally got this from US via my brother. I came very close to buying the AMD FX 8350 which is a real competitor to this processor at the given moment. But if you re building a gaming rig, it has to be the 3570k. The FX 8350 focuses on multi threaded apps. Currently no game utilizes more than 2 cores and I think 4 cores are more than enough for a gaming build - you dont really need 8 or 6 cores that AMD FX series/ i7 provides.

The BEST CPU for Gaming
This is undoubtedly the best of Intel's CPU for gaming. I have mine overclocked to 4.5Ghz at 1.3V and this thing crunches every game I throw at it. Ivy's are also very energy-efficient as well as it downclocks while idle. The stock cooler that comes with this processor is okay for upto 4Ghz but once you increase volatge, you'll need an aftermarket cooler like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (best VFM CPU Cooler). crysis 2 works on 25-30fps on high settings...(INTEL HD 4000 and 4 gb ram .not oc )
all latest games run very smoothly...
compression is also fast..

The Speed Is Mindblowing.
This is a seriously good performer. My advice is that if you are planning to get it, buy an aftermarket cooler. All the bullshit you read about ivy bridge not being over clocking friendly vanishes when you see this running at 4.5 ghz on an air cooler. Flipkart awesome service as always. Thank you.

It performs great with a discrete GPU. Yet it is great on ondie GPU. Its HD 4000 performs twice that of its Sandy Bridge counterpart. Dont listen to those who say its not for non-overclockers. There is no other CPU with these specifications in the market.
It is a major upgrade to the i5 2500K. Those who say a minor 100 MHz increase is nothing are those with little knowledge about Ivy-Bridge CPUs.

Got this processor from Flipkart last week, And being a hardcore gamer i can say i am extremely satisfied with the i5 3570k. It is extremely fast, Quiet and runs way more efficiently than the older quad cores i used in the past.
