  • Description

The Man of Steel faces his inevitable end in this grand tale by Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely and Neal Adams. Absolute All Star Superman ends the story of the Man of Steel in a manner that Superman deserves.

    Summary of the Book

In an attempt to save a solar space mission, Superman flies directly into the Sun. As he returns, he finds that his powers have greatly increased from his experience. He realizes that this is an effect of supercharging his cells. This act has a side-effect. Superman is going to die. He reveals his secret identity to Lois Lane and takes her to the Fortress of Solitude. He faces off some of his greatest enemies, and comes out on top. However, he knows that death is inevitable and that in his passing, the world will have no one to guard it. In an epic finale to the Superman legend, this story tells the tale of a passing of a man everyone loved, a man who had everything, and a man whose skin might have been made of steel, but whose heart was pure gold.
