Acer Ferrari Edition Liquid E (Red, 512 MB)

The Acer Liquid E mobile phone has undergone a distinctive makeover in its exclusive Ferrari Edition and the revamp has splashed out a red-hot model of phone, quite literally. The Liquid E Ferrari Edition packs in Android 2.1 (������������������clair) operating system in a full touch screen candy bar form factor. The handset is powered by a 768 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 8250 processor, the device comes with 512 MB of RAM.

This special edition Acer handset sports a 3.5-inch display screen with 480 x 800 (WVGA) resolution. On the back of the phone is a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and geo-tagging feature. You can shoot videos with the camera at 20 fps.

The UI used in the phone is the proprietary Acer 3.0 UI with 5-page homescreen. The exclusive Ferrari Edition smartphone comes with preloaded Ferrari images and videos to satiate the racing car fan in you.

Design

The glossy Ferrari F1 red hue complements the dark chrome keys and the mirror finish screen, giving it a sleek look. Flip the device and you get the Scuderia Ferrari shield emblazoned in a red carbon fiber layout. Below the screen are four touch sensitive buttons for Home, Search, Back and Menu.

The unique design of this Acer phone incorporates LED indicators that are present in the top of the device. These indicators automatically glow to notify you of incoming or missed calls, messages and battery levels, sparing you the task of even taking out the phone from your pocket to check them. The virtual keyboard of the phone has three different layouts which you can choose as per your convenience.

Storage and Battery

The Liquid E phone uses a standard Li-Ion 1350 mAh battery that lets you go unplugged for up to 5 hours of talking time. The handset is compatible with microSD cards which can be used to expand its memory up to 32 GB.

Connectivity and Features

Internet connectivity on the Acer Liquid E is possible through GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G. File transfer is taken care of by Bluetooth and USB. This Ferrari edition phone integrates with various social networks like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and others.
