more than just a game!
This is a game from the past. I like it, but not many seem to play this in the presence of many alternatives. Unlike shooter games this is a strategy game and hence belongs to a different class to those games on PS3 and Xbox. In fact if someone is even aware of this game, it's easy to put them in th 25+ age group!

Amazing Game. Good mix of units
The biggest plus point of the AOM games is how well the various civilizations have been differentiated. Even within the same civilization, how you age up changes the kind of units you have. The unit bonuses have more effect (for example, cavalry are better than archers).
The graphics are also really great.
However, I did not like the campaigns. It would have been better if they were based on some "real" mythology instead of a story they cooked up. The titan's campaign is too small and not ...

Great Game. Now Waiting for the Extended Edition
This is one of the best games I ever played. I have played the campaign over and over again but never stopped playing it. The Extended edition is going to be released on May 8th 2014. From what I can tell from the trailers online it features improved graphics, improved lighting and effects and day night cycles. Other than that it is the same game. It is available for pre-order on steam. But if you don't like spending around 1500 for the new game, go for this.

My Favorite Game
I have spent a good period of time of my student life playing this game. I am so glad to purchase it finally. It has great graphics, needs you to use a lot of brain and teaches you a lot besides being amazingly entertaining. The concept of Myth units and Heroes is what has set it apart from other games in the same genre for me.
Highly recommended to everyone. I love it.

amazing product and for some ppl who might wonder if it works with other operating systems it worked for me on OS vista all right
all you have to do is after the installation right click on the age of mythology titans click properties and on the compatibility tab check the (run this program in compatibility mode for) and choose windows Xp SP2 and it should work perfectly.
for the fog glitch go to the age of mythology folder then go to gfxconfig2 folder and delete the file named i845.gfx and ...

Aom gold edition contains two games - Age of mythology and Age of Mythology The Titans expansion. Well I think it is a very good strategy game looking at its price leaving Majesty2. The aom contains 32 campaigns and the titans consists 12. So you get 44 campaigns to play and leaving that you can play a random map.
