Angel  (English, Paperback, Weatherly L.A.)

Angel, published on 10 January, 2010, is the first book among the three popular Angel novels written by L.A. Weatherly. It was followed by its sequels, Angel Fire, and Angel Fever in October 2011 and 2012 respectively.

Summary Of The Book

The book is partly narrated by Willow, and partly by an omniscient narrator. Willow is a normal girl who has special powers, which make her unlike other girls. She is capable of reading peoples’ minds and knowing their future just by their touch. The only person who knows about Willow’s powers and from where she has acquired them is, Alex. He is an angel assassin and one of the few who knows the truth about angels.

The author’s depiction of angels not as benign celestial creatures but as deceptive predators, is quite disturbing yet strangely fascinating. Alex is concerned about Willow as he thinks that she may hold the key to defeating the evil angels. He tries to stop her but the dark powers within Willow make her parlous yet unavoidable. As a result, Alex finds himself drawn to Willow which inturn leads to devastating consequences.
With Angel, L.A. Weatherly has transformed the description of angels we know of. The book is a heart-pounding, paranormal romance action-adventure which is far from predictable and has gripping suspense throughout the course of the plot.
 

About L.A. Weatherly

L.A. Weatherly, born in 1967 is also known as Titania Woods and Lee Weatherly. She is an American novelist who grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. Currently, she resides in Hampshire, UK, with her husband.

Weatherly has authored various novels for teenagers which comprise Child X, which was nominated for the Red House Children's Book Award. She has also written an acclaimed collection named the glitterwings academy for children of 5 to 8 years of age. The collection includes 13 assorted, creative books in a sequence.

Lee Weatherly has followed a very unique and interesting style of writing in the Angel trilogy, where whatever is expected does not happen. The books are filled with heart wrenching suspense and surprises making them extremely captivating for the readers.
