Developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Capcom, Asura’s Wrath delivers intense hand-to-hand combat that is very entertaining to play. The single-player campaign in the story will introduce you to many weapons. You can use anything from a huge laser-emitting maw to a sword that can cut anything to pieces. The game contains 18 episodes that explain the story in detail.

The enemies in the game have been designed with creative brilliance. You will be fighting giant turtles, squids and many other creatures to reach your destination. The combat in the game includes timed button prompts that will allow you to execute visually spectacular combat moves. You have to press the buttons at the exact time, because if you miss you are done for good. The demons will defeat you in a matter of seconds and tear you to pieces.

On the weapons front, Asura has guns placed on his arms. You can shoot bullets from one arm, while the other one allows you to shoot missiles. The missiles have a lock-on system, which if timed right can annihilate your enemies. Animations in the game take a special mention as the game combines the elements of 3D modelling and anime. This results in a new kind of animation that mixes the elements of gaming and storytelling, rendering it into a beautiful masterpiece.

You can track your health through the gauges placed above the character in the game. Always keep an eye on the life gauge as it diminishes with every hit you take. You can fill up the burst gauge by defeating your enemies. Once the burst gauge fills up, you can press a button to inflict rage and damage your enemies a lot more. This feature is a great help when you are surrounded by a large number of enemies as you can take out all of them with minimum effort.

You can unlock a hidden ending by indulging in intelligent combat. This can be done by eliminating all the enemies on the floor. The damage done will be calculated for each level, allowing you to rise up the ranks. Reach the S Rank and you can unlock the true ending for the game. All these elements add depth to the gameplay, making the game interesting to play. Plenty of downloadable content is available for Asura’s Wrath. The content will add new levels, a fight mode and new chapters to the game. The updates, DLCs, and other content for the game can be downloaded directly from the PlayStation Store.
