Wonderfull product.very nice remote and very user friendly. Well this product does not support a server connected to it beacuse its not designed for it. Use upto 500 gb hard disc its working very fine.

The name should be changed to "ASUS O!Play Mini HD Media Player". The list of file format it supports is impressive. Plays all, - avi, mkv, flv, etc.It worked with my seagate 1 TB external hard disk.
Extends life of old crt tv's. Picture quality is great. I am using this with samsung crt tv.

I love ASUS products: motherboards, graphic cards, etc (for desktop computers).

Purchased this in February 2014. This one is no exception. Plays all media files (MP4, MKV, FLAC, OGG, H.264/AC3, H.264/AAC, etc.). It uses a Linux OS and so plays all. I use Linux OS on my desktop computers (both Linux Mint & Ubuntu).

Very good item for old tv's..
Can read almost all the format..
But response time is little more.
As the memory size increases, reading time for drive also increases..

While it worked for many others, it didn't work for my 1TB WD My Passport HD. What's strange is it works for small USB drives... so had to return it.

Product is very nice, able to play all formats. good navigation and resolution setting. you can tune Audio / Video setting as per your Display and Sound Systems.

Such a player should ve been common sense.. wonder how biggies like Samsung, Sony et all missed it.. However, Asus has nailed it with the Asus O Play Mini.. Does what is expected of it.. and does it exceedingly well... plays all formats of movies.. music and has custom transition effects to view photo slideshows from your HDD..

Plays full HD videos from HDD upto 1 TB like a breeze.. Has options for changing resolutions and playing videos with subtitles.. simple menu and quick and easy opera...
