Worth the Price
I purchased the below config from e b a y US as flipkart was unable to deliver the current listed model at my address and I think I got a better deal :)
Model : GL551JM-DH71
Ram : 16gb
Processor : i7 4710HQ
Graphics : 2gb DDR5 860M
OS : Windows 8.1
I have played lot of games on it like Ryse son of rome, grid autosport, shadow of mordar, wolfenstein, evil within, nfs rivals.... All of them running smoothly on high settings.
The heat emmision is quiet negligible and cooling is good....

Incredible laptop
I replaced the stock hard disk with an SSD. It was very simple to remove the back cover and the hard disk and put them back.
Although making it boot from a USB drive was tricky, and I had to change some options in the BIOS for it.
It comes with a Bluray Drive (not Writer).
The red backlit keyboard looks nice, especially at low-light. The keys feel nice and firm to press, although sometimes they can be missed if you don't press fir...

What did not impress me about Asus on this laptop is The screen is just on, I was buying it for IPS display, which is not in this laptop. So i have ordered a separate IPS display.

worth its price.. Gaming monster
Gaming performance: runs 2 of the high end games : FC3 and Wolfenstein The New Order without lag. and the mouse and headphones you get with that monster will make you a gaming freak .. and a bit of advice : buy a good cooling pad , not because it heats up (which it does but veryyy less) , but for a better gaming performance
