About the laptop, this one is a gem and has a good value for money. Slim and sleep and power efficient. It has a full keyboard and has downloadable windows 7 drivers if you dont want to install windows 8.1. Build quality might seem plasticky. No other cons whatsoever.

i got this laptop by flipkart . it comes with BIOS .so we are free to install any os.
i recommend windows 7 or later.because it is easy to get the drivers from there site .
And it is very light weight and the camera clarity is very nice....:) :)

This review is mainly for linux fans. First of all it comes with Atheros AR9845 wireless card, whose driver is included in most distributions. However the switch does'nt work with most distributions (including Ubuntu 14.04 and Fedora 20). You may get "Disabled by Hardware" in the network manager, which won't toggle even with Fn + F2. Don't panic, just open the terminal and give the following command :
sudo echo "options asus_nb_wmi wapf=1" > /etc/modprobe.d/asus.conf
Reboot, then everyt...

This is really a great laptop. My father just bought it from the market not from the flip-kart because he was a bit skeptical about the purchase from an e-commerce website. And after that when he handed me the laptop to install the for installing the windows or Linux on it, at that time i thought it is just as ok ok.. But now when am using it it feels really cool to have this in our family widgets. My father is able to run all his taxation related soft wares and now when the Windows 8.1 is on...

CPU is Intel pentium 2117U and not 2217 as mentioned here. It's a fine laptop. Go for it if you're looking for a dual core processor.

Very poor quality. Usb port broken after inserting a pendrive. i dont know if they actually soldered or super glued usb port to the mother board. also we were wondering who came up with the design of mouse pad it has. my god what a pain to click and select. its like you gotta be a real expert to work it properly. but still its okay within the price range.
