Description

Beautiful Disaster is a work of fiction by bestselling author Jamie McGuire that comes under the young adult romance category. It revolves around the story of an underground fighter and a girl who has just joined college.

Summary Of The Book

Beautiful Disaster follows the life of Abby Abernathy and Travis Maddox, both students of Eastern University. Abby is a stereotypical “good girl”, one who has moved on from her dark past. She has joined college with her best friend and immediately encounters Travis Maddox, the kind of person she would have believed she had to consciously avoid.

Soon enough, Travis tricks her with a bet so that she spends more time with him. Losing is not an option for either of them, for, the stakes though simple, are high in both their eyes. Travis losing would mean he has to be abstinent for a month, something the “walking one night stand” would surely find tough and if Abby loses, she has to live in his apartment for a month.

The story carries on from this point as we see how this bet turns the lives of Abby and Travis around as Travis has underestimated Abby’s willpower. Beautiful Disaster is the first of two books in the series, the other being Walking Disaster.

This book primarily covers the relationship dynamics between Travis and Abby, and dwells upon his faults and strengths as readers glimpse his abusive and irrational side, as well as him being a loyal and dedicated young man who learnt to fight for his life from his mother. The book has been well received by the intended audience and Warner Bros. has bought the rights to make it a movie.

Will leave you with a smile :)

I got this book as a gift and I wasn't expecting much from this book. I am usually not a huge fan of this genre of writing. Yet I loved this book so soo much. The fact that it left me with all kinds of mixed feelings. At one point of time I cried my heart out whereas at some points I just smiled and laughed and when it finally came to an end I clapped...yes I really did literally. Not only because this book leaves you wondering whether the protagonists will end up being together or not but i...

Beautiful Disaster; Flawless.

So I've read this book more than once and believe me this is the the most awesome piece on the planet. Many people here are saying that it leaves people with a wrong message but according to me, I think that's utter bullshit. We're mature people and I'm sure this book doesn't consist of any flaws. The best part of this entire book is, Travis Mad Dog Maddox. Holy Mother of God! Words loathe me when I begin to describe Travis. I suggest you read this book if you're a normal weird teenager who t...

Beautiful Disaster

Its a romantic novel which touches your heart. At some point you know what the novel is about but knowingly what will happen next, you tend to read it and enjoy every bit of the knowing part too.
You would love both the characters in the novel as well as its fun reading how they fight all the time, their break ups and the way they patch up. All in all a sweet novel to read.

Beautiful NO Disaster YES!!!

I bought this book because i had a long train journey and a half-read book, so i decided to buy this. i have heard a lot of praise about the book, and it has been sitting in my wishlist for last 2 months. The book a hideous romantic drama, the characters like Travis and Abby are not relevant to me, the book has a so-so story with horrendous character. If you liked twilight, this might be the book for you, if not, don't buy this.

Pretty good

Beautiful Disaster was a really fast read. Its basically a love story of a bad boy and a good girl. There were some really mushy scenes in the book. The relationship between the two main characters Travis and Abby was really intense. They are way way too different from each other, yet they can't stay apart. Travis' love for Abby is so crazy that at times, it reaches the point of obsession. I liked the story and the characters (secondary characters: Shepley and America are really cool). There...

Don't read this book.

This book is awful, it sends such a wrong message to people.
The guy gets obsessed with a girl and instead of getting a restraining order against him she starts falling for him which is just pathetic. The guy stalks her to no extent, dominates her in every way and makes her life miserable by his psychotic behaviors. Still, Mary Sue feels attracted to him.
This book feels like a lame crossover between Hush,Hush and 50 Shades. I actually can't believe people like this , it was really nightmaris...
