Michelle LeVaughn Robinson Obama, popularly known as Michelle Obama, is more than just the first African-American First Lady. She is a lawyer, a university administrator and, most importantly, a writer. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Michelle Obama worked at the law firm Sidley Austin where she dated the then President-to-be - Barack Obama. It was during Barack Obama’s presidential term (2009 - 2017) when Michelle wrote her first book American Grown (2012). Later, in 2018, Michelle went on to write her sophomore book Becoming, which she describes as a deeply personal experience. Becoming sold 725,000 copies in the United States of America and Canada on its very first day, becoming the second best-selling debut for any book that year.
