It is indeed pure aloe vera gel, with rose water.
At first I had given 4 stars to it, but now I have changed it to 5 stars. It is very good for skin and especially for hair. Even though I did not liked the way it smells, but now I have got used to it and it does not bothers me any more.
It conditions my hair, and lesser hair fall during shampoo.
