    The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a novel by John Boyne. It relates the story of a young boy living in a German concentration camp.

    Summary of the Book

    When Bruno returns home from school in Berlin, he discovers that his belongings are being packed in a crate. It is 1942 and the entire country is under the control of the Nazis. Bruno’s family is being moved since his father was promoted. They must now live within the confines of an odd camp, where there is no one to play with and nothing to do. A tall fence divides them from the outside, and there is nowhere for Bruno to go. The young boy decides to explore his new neighbourhood, and soon runs into a curious young boy who is very similar to himself. There’s only one difference: this boy wears some strange striped pyjamas and lives on the other side of the fence. And on the other side, there exists a world more fiercely violent and nightmarish than Bruno could imagine. These boys live in a German concentration camp, and only one of them is on the safe side of the fence.

    John Boyne is an Irish novelist, and has also written The Thief of Time, This House Is Haunted, The House of Special Purpose and Stay Where You Are And Then Leave.

    This book was adapted into a 2008 film by Mark Herman and produced by David Heyman starring Asa Butterfield, Jack Scanlon, David Thewlis, Vera Farmiga, Amber Beattie and Rupert Friend.

    This book is told from the point of view of a just a little boy, which makes it very interesting to read as you see what is going through his mind.     if you wanna read an emotional read this is the best book.This is definetle a cry worthy book and I think if you are a beginner you will not find any complications while reading this book because this is written in such an easy language. It seems as if it is specially made for beginners.And the last chapter is so so emotional, it just mad me cry. Loved the work of John boyne and surely will read more books written by him.     Awesome

    This tiny Book made me cry literally!!! The author explains the Holocaust with a view of a Nine year old German boy, who doesn’t even know who the Führer is and can’t even pronounce the name of the Camp, his father is incharge of!! After reading the book, you would embrace your Identity as a Human being like never before. Great book by Great Author.

    This book is awesome! The page quality the smell of the book and everything... The packaging was great too
    After just opening the package my friend wanted to see the book so I handed it to her but it accidentally fell from her hands into a puddle of water (we were outdoors) my heart skipped a beat, I picked it up quickly but nothing actually happened to the book...I think the cover is a bit waterproof
    Only the front pages got wet but dried after some time
