Been using this as kit lens in my EOS 600D.
I have been using this lens as a Kit lens with my EOS 600D, I'm totally satisfied.
There are good colors, maybe not professional level, but very good anyways. Also, there is accpetable sharpness across the entire zoom range. Its sharpest around F7 but even at other apertures, it doesn't disappoint.
I like it very much. The only gripe is I wish it was a 18-200 for some extra zoom power.

not worth the price
i got this lens bundled with Canon 60D, bought from a local dealer.
been using this lens for the last 2 years now.
before this i had a canon 1000D with 18-55 lens kit and it was working quite good but i needed to upgrade for technical purposes.
to begin the review, this is a quite average lens, it saves you the trouble of carrying two lenses but it has got its bag of problems.
the distortion specially at the edges is quite prominent through out the focal range.
the lens works good only arou...

Very costly lens
Provided that the Canon is bundling it with different cameras and charging under 50K for body, two lenses and few other stuff, buying an individual lens at this huge amount of money does not make any sense to me.

VERY GOOD THOUGH WHITE BOX.
This is one of the finest all purpose APSC lens canon has. It comes in White box ( Taken out of Kit)
