The Canon EOS 600D is a highly capable DSLR that sports an 18.0 MP APS-C sized CMOS sensor. This sensor is able to take higher quality images across a wide range of lighting conditions.
Auto Scene Modes
The camera is equipped with the hardware that is more than capable of taking high quality images on Manual modes. Though for those that are relatively new to the DSLR scene, there is a highly capable Auto Mode that can also be used for intelligent scene recognitions. The camera is capable of adjusting the settings to better suit the scene that is presented before it.
HD Recording
With the upgraded sensor, it is not possible to take high quality, HD videos at 24, 25 and 30 fps that can translate into great home made movies and mini projects. The HD videos can always be used for short film making or even for college or corporate projects.

With the Canon EOS 600D, you can also undertake some Full HD Video recording at varying frames per second. This is possible mainly in three settings, one is at 24 fps, 25 fps and 30 fps.
The EOS 600D is equipped with a crisp 3-inch wide Vari-Angle Clear View LCD monitor that records and plays back images and videos of exceptional quality. The Vari-Angle screen is specially designed with a hinge that allows it to be swivelled in almost any angle. The device comes with an eye-level pentamirror viewfinder for accurate framing.
The 600D is equipped with a variety of customizable settings that make it extremely flexible to shoot exactly the way you want.
The Canon 600D is equipped with a Full Auto, Flash Off, Creative Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, Night Portrait and Program Modes, while the manual modes include shutter-priority AE, aperture-priority AE, manual exposure and automatic depth-of-field AE.
The camera provides a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 sec to capture fast moving objects with excellent clarity, while the minimum 30-second shutter speed along with the bulb mode lets you capture poorly lit scenes with increased exposures or even try out some creative light painting.
The device comes with an ISO range of 100-6400, extendable to ISO 12,800 enabling high-quality hand-held shooting in low-light conditions without the need for flash.

The camera is built with Stainless Steel and polycarbonate resin with conductive fibre for better endurance and weather protection, while the ergonomic built with the swivel display makes it convenient to use this camera.
The EF-S 18 - 55 mm IS kit lens provided is ideal for clicking close ups, portraits and landscapes with a wide focal length range. The camera is also accompanied by the EF-S 55 - 250 mm IS zoom lens which produces brilliant images while capturing portraits, wildlife and more.
The 600D sports a powerful built-in pop-up flash with a recycle time of approximately 3 seconds.
The device lets you store images in both JPEG as well as RAW image file formats, while movies can be captured in MOV and MPEG-4 AVC/ H.264 formats. The camera supports memory cards such as SD, SDHC and SDXC types for extending the memory capacity.
The camera can be connected to other devices using a Hi-speed USB or a HDMI cable to transfer data. An external mic can be connected while you record movies to capture high quality sound. The camera features a remote control terminal too.
The 600D is powered by an LP-E8 battery that can be recharged when drained. The battery provides 440 shots with viewfinder shooting and up to 180 shots with Live View shooting.
