It features a 20.2-megapixel APS-C CMOS Sensor and Canon’s Dual DIGIC 6 Image Processor so that you can capture beautiful images even when the lighting conditions are bad.
This camera is equipped with the 65-point All Cross-type AF System that boasts a larger autofocus area than a lot of APS-C sensor cameras. This makes for significantly enhanced accuracy even when the subject is in rapid motion. Also, its central AF point is an f/2.8 dual cross-type point so that you can focus easily even in poor lighting conditions.
Using its shutter and mirror mechanism, this camera offers you a shutter release lag time of 55 milliseconds and it is capable of clocking continuous shooting speeds up to 10 fps. Thanks to that, you can capture anything ranging from sporting events to wildlife with enhanced precision and sharpness. But, if you’re someone who prefers low-shooting speeds, then this camera is also equipped with manually adjustable speed settings that you can take advantage of.
Thanks to the Dual Pixel CMOS AF Function, this camera enables high-speed phase-difference detection AF on the CMOS sensor plane, offering you extremely fast AF and smooth subject tracking in the Live View as well as the movie recording mode. And, even if there’s an erratic change in the distance of the subject from the camera, then this new system ensures that the subject is still in focus. It also enables the Movie Servo AF to offer quiet focusing and tracking, especially when you pair this camera with an STM lens. You can also adjust the AF speed to take more sophisticated shots.
