The IXUS 175 is a 20.0-megapixel camera. The lens features a 5.0 - 40.0 mm focal length and an 8x optical zoom. It also has a 16x ZoomPlus technology that lets you capture far-off objects with amazing details. Its AutoZoom feature further lets you select the best frame with minimum tweaking of settings.
The powerful DIGIC 4+ processor enhances the processing time and speeds up the AF time, especially when you shoot at high ISO speeds.
The Image Stabilisation feature minimises the effect of camera shake and vibrations. The Face Detection technology makes it easy to identify and capture human faces in a frame.
The Movie button lets you create HD movies in MP4 format. You can also use the optical zoom feature while recording a video.
This camera has a range of creative filters that help you in editing your pictures before or after clicking them. You can choose from fish-eye, monochrome, miniature, poster, fireworks, long shutter and many other modes for impressive clicks.
The built-in flash can be set to operate in one of the four modes according to the light condition in the surrounding. You can choose from Auto, Manual on/off, or Slow Synchro modes.
You can view clicked images or playback your HD videos on the 6.8 cm (2.7) LCD display. It has a 2,30,000 dot display resolution that lets you view the media clearly.
The built-in Eye-Fi/FlashAir support lets you share your shots and videos with other Wi-Fi-enabled devices. Simply insert a FlashAir card in the camera and stay connected to the Internet while on the go.
The camera supports SD, SDHC, SDXC memory cards. It also supports USB connectivity, so you can easily transfer pictures to your computer.
This camera runs on a rechargeable li-ion battery. Its lets you capture up to 300 shots when you use the camera in Eco Mode.
