Must read when starting your career.

A pretty good book to refresh basics of developing software in an enterprise where multiple people will use your code. Sound advice on how to do small small things like : Class design, pseudocode, variable conventions etc.
Might be a bit drab and obvious for seasoned programmers.
A must read if your just starting your career.

    Good timeless wisdom

I am not completely through this book yet but I tend to like whatever I have read so far. A lot of it is common sense (in hindsight of my experience), but may be deep revelations to starting programmers. It is a one place stop for timeless programming wisdom and coding best practices. Highly recommended.

This is an out dated and old book.

This is a book with Microsoft Press logo. But it actually does not justifies with the logo, it is actually stating a lot of convention and rules that is more followed in C and has grown old or deprecated for the modern programming languages. The variable name convention used in this book, are more than 15 year old. There are some classic software engineering key rules and project management rules defined here. Could had been a great lead, but it Contradicts with Microsoft recommended standa...
