Well I have to admit this router solves the purpose... I use this as a standalone wi-fi router in my 1100sft apartment and the signal is good in all the rooms ...

DIR-505: Versatile device once you get it to work.
The only issue with the DIR-505 is very poor documentation to help with the setup. I assumed I could set it up in repeater mode using WPS, since the primary wi-fi modem is also a D-Link with WPS...
