Ron Woodroof, an American AIDS patient diagnosed in the mid-1980s, smuggles unapproved medicines into Texas for his treatment. He establishes Dallas Buyers Club to distribute those pharmaceutical drugs to fellow AIDS patients. Meanwhile, he faces opposition from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Dallas Buyers Club, a 2013 American biographical drama film is directed by Jean-Marc Vallée. It stars Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto who won Academy Awards for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor respectively for this movie.
