this is not a book written from start to finish by Ray, in the true sense of the word. rather, it is a compilation of several articles, which were written by him over a wide span of time. perhaps cinema is one of the purest form of art and a good cinema is one of the most important thing which can mold the personality of a child or an adolescent. this book will give an insight to the mind of this genius.

Undoubtedly one of India's greatest filmmakers, Ray was an equally good writer and the book is a testament to the fact. Be it the piece on silent films or the piece on his experiences in foreign film festivals, his uniqueness and observatory skills in writing stand out as much as they did in his films.

An awesome experience while reading this book. Actually it portrays the whole life of Satyajit Ray and his all exciting events happened with him. Photos made this book more interesting to read and able me to see the real happenings which are captured in photographs.
