Been using this for over a month
I've been using this laptop for about a month now. The thermal range of most AMD cpus these days is quite similar to Intel's (though it varies according to the CPU model being considered).
On this laptop, its the GPU that can get really warm (while gaming). My cpu temp ranges between 51C-66C(while gaming), and my gpu temp goes from 56C to 85C. I'm not using a laptop cooler, so there is room for improvement here.

Recently I bought this laptop. Very much happy with the Speed performance. Visual clarity is very good. But keyboard structure is very bad. all the F1, F2 keys are working with Fn(Key)it's too horrible to working with functional keys. all other shortcuts keys like sound, lighting wi-Fi connectivity they all place directly. Value for money
I thank flipkart for their quick service. The laptop was delivered much before the expected date of delivery, as you guys normally do.
The laptop is good and works well with Ubuntu 11.10. The system is super fast and boots and comes to login screen in 30 seconds.. But yes i could feel the heat of processor.

a decent laptop
Its a decent laptop with good config,i never tried any games on it but as far my media experience its really good.
The only thing u need to buy with this device is a cooling pad :D
and yeah u will definately love this.
Good for people not much in to hardcore gaming and want to use some simple apps for photo and video editing and so on.

If you don't want to own an old- dated laptop

Frequency does matter ...and also the bus speeds... hyper threading has enabled us to achieve speeds that were unimaginable a decade ago when i played the World Quake 3 tournament about a decade ago . The magnum amount of data passing through the processor and RAMs generate massive amount of electron friction causing the generation of heat. AMD , however is the safest bet when it comes to games... absence of hotkeys makes it little bad....but overall it is awesome lappy i purchased it yesterday...., and i have checked its AMD Phenom Quad core is similar Intel core i5 so it is best..and never purhase any lappy with nvidia graphics card..nvidia graphics card becomes hot if you are doing long work on it and crash....so this laptop is awesome.

The phenom 2 processor is currently among the best AMD Laptops Processors out in the Indian market, along with a hd4650(550v) Ati graphic processor will sure make your graphic intensive life much easier, though you wont get some features like USB 3.0
