Dell Vostro 3450 Laptop (2nd Gen Ci3/ 2GB/ 500GB/ Linux)  (13.86 inch, Silver, 2.2 kg)

After lots of reserch I bought this laptop Online because of EMI available with just 500 extra. And second reason its look is very nice .I ordered in friday evening and got in Monday evening! Very happy with the quick delivery. Removed the linux and installed Win7 64 bit. In specification it is mentioned that it has no unused slot for RAM. But when opened the back panel found that it came with 1*2GB DDR3, and 1 Memory slot free. I added another 4 GB RAm for Rs 1300. Overall its a good system ...

I got this last week, it is fine for me and the price is also fine. got it with Ubuntu 10.10 32-bit OS.
it is working fine and I got a product which is worth for the money. it would have better if it comes with a 64-bit operating system with 32 bit I feel like not much attractive. installed 64-bit version of linux, now it is really cool.

Its a good product, with good overall features, a little disappointed with the pricing, the same specs are available in inspiron with original win 7 at all most the same price. Vostro should have been a bit cheaper as compared to that... rest all is very kool....

bcoz on dell.co.in website we can customize it i.e. if any one wants to upgrade his RAM to 6gb or 8gb, we can do this on dell website but here we can not. At least here flipkart.com should give 4GB of RAM.

keyboards spill proof
Plenty of USB-3.0 ports, HDMI
Doesnt heatup.

Cons
Kind of pricey for this kind of configration.
Ubuntu is 10.10 not the latest upgrade.
keyboard isnt backlit.
No Software for finger print lock/unlock... need to checkout the ubuntu forum for installing one..
.Sound quality is just above the avg notch,, i mean its not bad but its not great either.
