A light,delightful book based in Elizabethan times like other reputed authors of Historical romance.A stroke of masterpiece by Carole Mortimer.Another one of her excellent novel with a different touch.The duke's character is well executed and so is the Plain Jane ,who captivates the heart of the powerful duke.She is willful,strong minded and independent at the same time demure and loving.
A must read for all historical romance lovers.
