Jacqueline’s life is going in a way that she had never expected and she is trying to do what she can to pick up the pieces. When she sees that there is a strange connection between the man who tutors her and her classmate, things start to change and she is unsure of whom she can trust.

Summary of the Book

Jacqueline does not expect a break-up when she joins the same school as her longtime boyfriend. She loves him and will go wherever he wants to go, but the break-up only leaves her in a state of shock for two weeks. She suddenly realizes what her reality is now: she is single and attends a state university instead of an institute for music, her friends start to ignore her, and she fails in class for the very first time. Her professor gives her an e-mail address of a tutor whom she can contact and who will make her feel confident again. In the meanwhile, a boy in her class, Lucas, has impressed her when he saves her from an attack by a fellow student. He isn’t great in terms of looks, but she is left wanting for more when he dances with her at a downtown club. As the story goes, Jacqueline realizes that there is a connection between the supportive tutor, whom she is in touch with through e-mail only, and Lucas. Will she be able to decide who she can and cannot trust?
