How to use earthen cookwares: While cooking use wooden spoons or spatulas and avoid metallic ones as it will not scarp the mud off the pot. Sudden variation of temperature may lead to the cracking of clay cookwares. Therefore neither add cold water to a already heated pot nor use the pots in a prompt temperature varying conditions. Clean the earthen pot with a brush or scrub pad and wash it using mild soap. For stubborn stains, take rock salt in the scrub pad and scrub it nicely or just soak it for few minutes before washing. Don't use any kind of strong soaps or detergents as the clay pot is porous and absorbs it and when you cook again it will get into your food. earthen pots are brittle thus handle with care while washing and cooking.
