Peter Atkins is a British chemist, former professor, and author. He has written books like Four laws That Drive The Universe, Molecular Quantum Mechanics, Reactions : The Private Lives Of Atoms, The Periodic Kingdom : A Journey Into The Land Of The Chemical Elements and The Laws Of Thermodynamics. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and a PhD, he went on to become a professor at the Lincoln College, University of Oxford. Julio De Paula is a Brazilian-American professor and author. He has a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and a PhD from Yale University. He is now a professor at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon. He’s co-authored several books such as Quanta, Matter, and Change: A Molecular Approach to Physical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Atkins' Physical Chemistry.
