About Paul Ekman

Paul Ekman is the world’s most notable expert on facial expressions. He is the Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of California Medical School, San Francisco. He has authored about fifteen widely read books and has worked as an adviser to antiterrorism groups, police departments, and animation studios. It was his research works that inspired the FOX TV series called Lie to Me. He currently lives in northern California. Some of his other notable works are Unmasking the Face: A Guide to Recognizing Emotions from Facial Expressions, Telling Lies: Clues to Deceit in the Marketplace, Politics, and Marriage, and Why Kids Lie: How Parents Can Encourage Truthfulness among many others.
