6 Pin by 6 Pin iLink / DV / Firewire Cable IEEE-1394 (Firewire) 6P / 6P. This IEEE-1394 (Firewire) cable can be used to connect any IEEE-1394 (Firewire) compliant device to a computer. Devices include; Digital Camcorder, Digital Camera, DV Recorders, PC Cameras, IEEE-1394 HDDs, CD-ROMs, DVD-ROMs, MOs, Digital Set Top Boxes, Scanners, Printers, and Other IEEE-1394 Compliant Devices. There are two types of connectors for IEE-1394 (Firewire) cables, 6P (6 Pin) and 4P (4 Pin). A 6P (6 pin) connector can transfer data and power, a 4P (4 Pin) connector only transfers data.
