book is good written in lucid pedagogy. It covers most of the syllabus. However certain topics are over emphasis n few imp topics are not upto the mark such as in teachings of Gandhi book gave more emphasis on writing a short summery of Gandhi contribution in independence rather than explained his ideologies such as Satyagraha , non violence, secularism,etc in detailed manner as its a ethics book not a history book.

It is probably the best book available in the market for ethics. Thoroughly covers all the topics as per UPSC syllabus.. Quite a good number of case studies are also present in the book..as well as aspirants also find the solved ethics paper of UPSC from 2013 onwards...quite handy..
If one wants to learn the basics concepts for ethics...this book is a perfect buy for him/her.
