This GN by Israeli write artist Rutu Modan certainly lives up to it's praise. Based in present day Tel Aviv Modan has woven a tale with very believable characters whose ordinary lives are constantly under the shadow of terrorism. She gives us an excellent insight into modern Israel where ordinary people's lives are changed forever by violence.
