Enid Blyton is an English writer who is known for a large number of series of books for children, especially the popular series The Famous Five and The Secret Seven. Some of her books include Five Go to Smuggler's Top (The Famous Five Series #4), Five Go Off in a Caravan (The Famous Five Series #5), First Term At Malory Towers, and The Magic Faraway Tree. Blyton was born in East Dulwich, London, on August 11, 1897. Noddy is one of the popular characters created by her. Her books are based on adventure, fantasy and sometimes magic. The author has written more than 800 books in 40 years, and these books have been translated into many languages. She died on November 28, 1968.
