This book is a part of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five series with yet another mysterious adventure at Kirrin Cottage in Five Go to Smuggler's Top (The Famous Five Series #4).

    Summary Of The Book

The fourth installment of The Famous Five series, Five Go to Smuggler’s Top, is a riveting adventure that the five amateur sleuths embark on while on holiday at their Uncle Quentin’s Kirrin Cottage.

A terrible accident destroys the top floor of Kirrin Cottage and Five are forced to move into Mr. Lenoir’s place till the damage is taken care of. The strangely named house called Smuggler’s Top, situated on Castaway Hill, not only provides an abundance of hidden passages and trails but holds a secret of its own.

It is now up to the children to decipher the mystery behind the Smuggler’s Top as they encounter flashing light signals in the middle of the night. With the sudden disappearance of Uncle Quentin and Sooty Lenoir, the Famous Five go through a series of suspects from Mr. Lenoir, Mr. Barling,  and to the deaf butler, Block. The question remains whether the children can solve the mystery in time and find their lost uncle Quentin and Sooty. Their biggest challenge is not to get lost in the Castaway Hill’s secret passages themselves.

Enid Blyton captures the reader’s attention with this engaging tale incorporating mystery, suspense, and adventure as one follows each clue and suspect with the Famous Five.

The Famous Five series is one of the most popular series by Blyton and has been a universal favorite for children and adults alike.

    Five Go To Smuggler's Top

Enid Blyton's Famous Five series are not dark and deep. Instead they give an air of intrigue only to delight us. Children are solving mysteries and it really grows over us too. This book is so jam-packed and intriguing that even adults can read it with interest! Recommended

    Excellent !

I read the famous five series after secret seven and though i felt nothing will match upto secret seven..these 5guys proved it wrong..loved the entire series..bought the entire collection..
and smugglers top is one of my favourites..
The dreams the imaginations..the thrills..only a child at that age will know..
And anyway an excellent way to increase your vocabulary and improve your english esp if you are someone below age 12.
