Enid Mary Blyton was born on 11th August, 1897. She was a British children’s author who wrote under the pseudonym Mary Pollock.  She is most popularly known as the creator of the character called Noddy. She has authored books for all ages but is most known for writing for young readers. She had written several series based on recurring figures and characters such as Famous Five and The Secret Seven. Blyton was also a gifted pianist but preferred teaching at Ipswich High School over her possible musical career.
