A Good book to start
best book for the beginner, the audio CD included with the book is worthy with lots of dialogues in fench with english translation... nice one!
basic grammar is provided, pronouciation for the every sentence printed in the text is provided, verb conujugations for our daily usage, small dictionary at the end, activities and games are available, dialogue and conversation are there throughtout the book good guidance for the beginner

A really good book
This book is honestly really good and the concepts are rather easy to grasp. But Ive done the basics of French as a child so it was easy for. But for the completely blank slates Im assuming the book should do wonders. Either way its a good book :) It goes over all concepts and the CD is definitely amazing!

Good for Beginners
I love that the pronunciations are written phonetically. Good for people who are not great with grammar rules. It has lots of content, very helpful for pronunciation. I would definitely recommend for beginners, a good place to start.

This book is just so much fun if one wants to explore a different language. The exaples and the over process is interesting and fun to follow. French as a language is so similair to hindi and i strongly suggest that everyone read this book.

Excellent book - Just superb
I was just finding this type of book. The CD provided is also superb. But the most important and the most helpful thing is the French pronunciation written in english. This is the best part of the book. Believe me, I was the best student in my earlier French learning class and take it from me that without the pronunciation, you will not be able to learn it. So just go for this book blindly. And the price is unbelievably reasonable. Thank you "French For Dummies'".

These two titles are a great help in learning French. You learn survival vocabulary in French from French for Dummies and the Grammar book is useful in giving vital clues as to how the language works. The accompanying CD is useful in learning correct pronunciation.

This book is good for beginners but not if you want to learn french grammar and basics thoroughly.
however this book will enable you to communicate in french. I would not recommend this book if you want to learn french seriously.
The Cd is helpful for beginners. it does give you a good idea about french pronunciation !
