Pusa Sadabahar is perenial in nature (i.e) it produces chilli for 3 continous years. It is tolerant to leaf curl virus .It produces fruits in cluster. Fruit bearing is upright. Generally 5-8 fruits per cluster. Yield potential is 8.0-10.0 tons/ha during first year. With a proper care in frosty time this will survive up to 3 years. Plant height is 60.0-80.0 cm. Growth habit is upright. Leaves are dark green and broad. Sowing instructions : Choose a sunny, sheltered site with well-drained, fertile soil. Add a general-purpose fertiliser before planting.Grow in 23cm (9in) pots filled with compost or in grow bags with a maximum of 3 per bag.Sow two seeds in a compost-filled peat pot - remove the weaker seedling once they have both emerged.Support once the stems grow tall enough.Fruitinh starts in45-60 days .Pick as required. Chillies will usually change colour as they ripen. The longer they are left on the plant, the hotter they tend to become.
