The Fujifilm AV200 point and shoot camera falls in the Finepix family of digital cameras. It is perfect for the beginners in photography as it is an all-round feature-set with the presence of the affordability factor. The Fujifilm camera uses CCD sensor and has resolution of 14 megapixels. This digital camera comes with 3x optical zoom and 6.7x digital zoom. The focal length of the Fujifilm camera is 5.7 - 17.1 mm, while the 35 mm equivalent focal length is 32 - 96 mm.

The camera has a tiny rounded, well-built body made of polycarbonate. Holding the AV200 for long is not a problem at all because the camera weighs just 168 g, including accessories, battery and memory card. The top of the Fujifilm camera has the shutter and power button, while the flash is placed near the top center. This reduces the chances of your fingers accidentally coming in the way of the flash. A microphone is located just besides the lens in the lower part.

This Fujifilm camera can capture an HD video at the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps. The camera supports various aspect ratios such as 4:3, 3:2 and 16:9. The AV200 has a 2.7- inch TFT color LCD monitor with a resolution of 230,000 dot pixels. You can use this LCD monitor to select any desirable setting with ease.

Battery and Storage

The Fujifilm compact camera includes 2 x AA type alkaline rechargeable batteries that can take 180 shots in one charge. However, you also have the option of using the 2 x AA type Ni-MH rechargeable batteries that can click 480 pictures in a go. You also have the freedom to extend the storage space of the camera with the help of SD and SDHC cards.

Performance

The Fujifilm point and shoot camera has TTL contrast detection Auto Focus. The aperture range of AV200 ranges from f/2.9 - f/5.2. In order to capture pictures with clarity even in low light situations, the camera can adjust the sensitivity automatically between ISO 100 - 3200. In case of shutter speed, it ranges between 1/4 sec to 1/1400 sec in the auto mode and 8 sec to 1/1400 in manual mode. The Fujifilm AV200 features Autoflash, which ranges from 60 cm - 3.5 m (Wide) and 60 cm - 2 m (Tele).
