realistic images, awesome zoom.
I've used 4 P&S cameras before and nothing comes closer when we compare the image quality and Optical zoom ratio to mega pixels of S4800, think you already know an optical zoom is much more important. A point and shoot camera only has one lens and you should get the most out of it.
Megapixels is basically a myth. All modern cameras have more than enough mega pixels. Too many megapixels on the tiny sensor of point and shoot cameras can actually be bad. Small pixels packed tightly together...

Good Depth of field - Getting very shallow depth of field with higher aperture settings
Less grains- The photos are very clear and without any grains even in 100 % Zoom

a slow camera
Takes very nice images but bit slower. The look and feel of the camera is also good compared to other brand cameras of 15K INR price range. I got battery back up of around 300 photos with single charge using 4 Nos of 2100mAH Envie AA batteries which i got free

Good super zoom with plenty of manual DSLR like controls
If you love super zoom, birding , out doors , nature photography its a perfect peiece.
I was planning a dslr but seemd too complex, this has been a very good starting point.
Aperture control, exposure control, and many other manual controls let you get best out it even in varying light conditions.
Wirth the money.!

Amazing Camera..TOtally Worth it!!
I bot this cam a month ago for my trip....I used it thoroughly....The 30x Optical Zoom is amazing.
I mean,you cant get a better cam or a Semi-Slr in such a low price.
The colors of the pics taken out it are amazing..Must buy for starters,who want to learn photography as it contains full manual controls for Shutter Speed and Aperture.
But the USP of the cam is itz amazing Super Optical zoom of 30x!!

More functionality and features are there.
All required mode are there.
video is too good with compare to price.
Some time images are not good with zoom snap, i checked it but after some time wait and snap its good.
I enjoyed 30x zoom level.
I can't attach external lance but its enough for me.
4 batteries are good and flash is also good.
i tried in so many cameras but this was the last solution for me in this range.

Awesome product
At this price range, an advance point and shoot is a rare case.. Don't think, buy it. I've been using this camera for long before moving on to DSLR which really wasn't very tough after handling this.
