Author Info

B B Laud obtained his doctorate in Physics in 1951 from the University of Bombay, Bombay (Now Mumbai). Professor Laud has taught at the University of Poona from 1953 to 1965. In 1965 he joined the Marathwada University as Professor and Head of the Department of Physics, a position he held until his retirement. Credited to him are numerous research papers and five books. He worked as Chairman of All India Convention of Spectroscopists for seven successive years and is a Founder Fellow of the Maharashtra Academy of Sciences. The book grew out of his long experience of teaching postgraduate courses in electromagnetic theory.
