Chromecast was initially launched as a cast only device but this one gives you a full-fledged android tv experience. Navigating the UI itself is a bliss owing to the fluid android 12 it packs. The Amlogic S805X2 processor fused together with 1.5GB of RAM creates an ample prowess for 1080p media consumption. It would be even great if they offered a 3.5mm jack in the remote like Roku offers. What an amazing product man.. I've been using MECOOL, MI TV stick, Airtel Xstream Android setup box. None of them anywhere close to Chromecast in terms of performance. It's so smooth and no lag or hanging issue. The buttons are so responsive. In Airtel I always haid pairing issue with Samsung remote. The power, volume and few other buttons won't map. A:It doesn't matter if it's a smart tv or not. It will work either way. I have a smart and non smart tv both. I use it with both my tvs. Just plug it in the hdmi port of your TV and you're good to go.
