I would suggest if this is your first rucksack, just go for it. This is more than sufficient for a rookie traveller/trekker. I packed clothes for 2people and easily this sufficed my 6-8days requirement. The best part is as promised in the product description, there is a rain cover included with the bag. All the zippers are of good quality and compartments have decent space. I have tested this for a short travel of around 8-10days.
