Once cooled, apply the paste to your hair and let it sit for 45 minutes for a medium brown shade or 2 hours for a darker brown tone. Rinse and wash your hair with a colour-protective conditioning shampoo for good results.
To achieve a black hair colour, start by preparing a thick henna paste using hot water and then apply it when it is cooled down. Leave it on for 45 minutes before rinsing and towel drying. Next, prepare a thick indigo paste, similar to henna, and apply it over your freshly henna-dyed hair. Leave it on for 45 minutes to attain a rich black hue and for 1 to 2 hours for stubborn greys before washing with a Colour Protective Conditioning Shampoo.
Avoid washing your hair with chlorine water, as it can cause coloured hair to turn green. Pre-wash your hair before applying the paste for ideal results. It may take 24 to 48 hours to achieve the desired shade. If you have extremely sensitive skin, you may experience itchiness after use.
