Before i bought this phone i used to use a Motorola Fire XT (QWERTY).

OS Related:
It is a good upgrade to the latest android. There is absolutely no lag in terms of performance of the OS.
I use a lot of Apps like FB, Twitter, E-Mail, WhatApp, NewsReaders etc. So, all those apps are working perfectly fine.
I have not tried any games and i dont intend to try games either.

Hardware:
Looks fine as it comes with a back cover for its protection and a screen guard.

The phone I received is not new. It has been used before. If I am not mistaken, it has been returned also.
I concluded so based on the following:
1) No removable screen on the display.
2) An active gmail login in the name of 'Shakunthala'
