Stratego Conquest is the only version of the game where you can play 1-on-1 or up to 4 players who will conquer to rule the land? You have varying levels of military expertise to call on headed by the Marshal who leads his troops, aided by a spy whose one mission is to destroy the opposing Marshal! Six bombs are available but both sides have Miners who can defuse a bomb if they find it. Each side has forty playing pieces which must be set up in secret ahead of the game. The set up can determine whether you win or lose so you need to think about where you are going to place the various levels, and if you don t win you can learn by your mistakes and become less vulnerable. As your skills develop, so does your chance of winning. A booklet, with full instructions on how to play and enjoy Stratego, is included with the set. You can play just the basic game of Stratego, if you wish, but once you have mastered it, this edition also offers six variations on play adding to the challenge, and the enjoyment of the game.
