This book is a humble attempt to bring to the readers the picturesque ghats of Kashi and their brief history. The latest images of the ghats have been retaken and added to the respective chapters. This book is a mirror of the changes that have taken place on the Ghats of Banaras during the last 7-8 years, especially the changes made by the present Modi government, some new and old ghats which were not in the earlier English edition , have been included in this book. To make the book more meaningful, the details of the ghats have been made more clear and new photographs and new chapters have been added wherever necessary. The photographs have been improved to make the book more enjoyable. The author is not a professional photographer, so some photos will not be as good for various reasons for which the author expresses his deep regret.
