Linkers and Loaders  (English, Paperback, Levine John R.)

This book is one of the best available references in the subject. When i started to read it, i felt like im reading a novel. Very nicely written text and a must have reference for students and software engineers. This book doesn't describe things in practical expects. You wont get huge lines of code for building efficient linkers and loaders but you'd get a decent material that will clear most of your doubts. Gr8 work Levine.

My day job is in the field of compiler tools development (which includes linkers). With that background, I would say this book is the best material I have read so far on explaining the linker and loader concepts for both a newbie and an experienced person. This is the first material anyone, who intends to learn about linkers & loaders, would want to read.
