The K340 Wireless Keyboard from Logitech is wireless device with a simple layout that allows you to get work done faster from anywhere in the room. The K340 uses an advanced 2.4 GHz wireless system to ensure seamless and uninterrupted connection to your computer while registering every actuation onscreen the moment the key is pressed. The innovative Logitech Unifying receiver must be connected to an available USB port to connect this keyboard.

The Unifying receiver helps you keep other USB ports free for connecting other devices as it can connect up to 6 Logitech devices simultaneously. The receiver is so small that once connected there is no need to remove it when you move around. The receiver also comes with an extender cable that lets you position it next to your monitor to receive better signals.

Style and Portability

The Logitech K340 Wireless Keyboard is designed to save space on the desktop while still managing to include all the functionality of a full sized keyboard. The front of the K340 has a slim design while the back is thicker, which provides the keyboard with a nice angle to type on. The smaller size makes it easy to store and transport without compromising on comfort or productivity. The keys are easily visible even when working in low light conditions as the red backlight feature provides illumination around the keys.

The keys of the K340 Keyboard are of regular size and Logitech has also managed to retain the entire Number Pad on the right side. The direction keys have been adjusted to fit under the QWERTY pad so that it does not take up any additional space. This slim Logitech keyboard ensures you have enough space on your desktop and also makes typing on laptops easy due to the low profile keys that allow you to shift your hands and wrists to a more neutral position.

Performance, Multimedia and Connectivity

The Logitech K340 Wireless Keyboard comes with programmable keys that allow you to open your favourite or commonly used applications at the press of a button. This Logitech Keyboard works on computers that run on Windows 7, Vista or XP. The Function Keys on the K340 have been paired up with some commonly used applications and multimedia functions. The dual functions of the Function keys can be activated by pressing the key marked FN in red on the bottom right of the keyboard.

The dual functions of F1 to F4 include Home, direct mail access, search options and calculator. F5 to F11 have dual multimedia functions that let you directly control playback options from the keyboard while also allowing you to mute and increase or decrease the volume. The Logitech K340 is powered by 2 AA batteries that can last up to 3 years if used under normal circumstances. The K340 Keyboard automatically shuts down after 10 minutes of no activity in order to conserve battery power.

The Logitech K340 has a battery indicator on the top right side of the keyboard which lets you know when to change the batteries for a pair of fresh ones. The Logitech K340 Wireless Keyboard also has an on/off switch located on the right rear side which allows you to switch off the keyboard to further conserve battery power. The minimum system requirements to install the K340 Wireless Keyboard are a computer with USB port, Windows OS and an internet connection to download the necessary software.
