This Book traces the history of this socio-legal battle which took place from 1927 to 1937 from Trial Court to Bombay High Court in which, ultimate victory was of 'Human Rights'. The book is an insight account of the historical event which became a hallmark of the history of revolution of human rights. It is the most befitting tribute paid by the Author to the ever cherished memory of the 'Mahamanav' of this epoch, who has guaranteed these 'Fundamental Rights' in our Constitution in such a way that now no one can take them away, neither the State nor even 'we the people.' The Book displays immense labour undertaken by Dr. Yashwant Chaware, the District Judge, in tracing the record of the Suit, getting it translated, compiling, publishing and preserving it for our future generations. This book may be the first ever attempt to document and publish the trial of the historical significance. We have to look forward to more such Books as our Law Journals are replete with such trials, depicting the social evaluation through legal process.
