Maltagliati Fiocchi is produced Italy, Tuscan region with durum wheat semolina. Premium italian gourmet farfalle is usable with most sauces, but best suited to cream and tomato sauces. It is known as bow-tie pasta or butterfly pasta from it's shape hence a favorite among kids. The two of the sides are trimmed to a ruffled edge and the center pinched together to make the unusual shape of the pasta which holds the sauce very well.
