NOTE-It is advisable that ensuring dimensions,weight of the product with any of the measuring devices before purchase. HOW TO SEASON DOSA TAWA Wash the tawa 2-3 times with warm, soapy water and a sponge or stiff brush until dust above tawa remove. Rinse and thoroughly dry the skillet with a clean, dry cloth or paper towels. rub the tawa through out with gingelly oil and keep it for one day. to make golden brown and prevent dosa from sticking. rub the tawa with half onion Then you’re good to go! NOTES : Wipe off with brinjal / bottle gourd or onion to prevent dosa from being sticked on the cast iron dosa pan. Also, avoid using hard soaps, detergents and steel scrubber. Rinse with warm water or wipe with wet tissue after each use. Use liquid soap and sponge if the tawa is too oily and also wipe with a dry cloth. Furthermore, never wash cast iron tawa when it is too hot. Make sure to clean the tawa when not in use as water may lead to rusting. Also, never put cold liquids on cast iron tawa as they may lead to cracks. Dry the tawa, apply oil and keep aside after each use. Finally, avoid acidic foods like lemon & cucumber for cooking in cast iron tawa as they may damage seasoning. MAINTENANCE- To ensure your cast iron cookware’s durability Keep your Cast Iron vessel clean, neat and dry when not in use. After cooking, wash with a mild soap solution using a soft brush and should be kept on the stove top to bone dry; wipe and give it a thin coat of any vegetable oil. Store carefully away from water. In a couple months regular use, you might not need to coat with oil.
