It's V. Good
This is a very good web cam!
I bought this about a year back and I did not know that it has an auto build in mic which is very powerful!
Quality - Very good (4 Starts)
Mic - Super (5 Starts)
And it works on windows 8 also! Just in case someone wanted to know.

Get a Life!
Overall, this camera is great for the price. As long as you have a fairly good light source facing the user (not behind the user), the camera will pick up video very well. It isn't the best at catching movement so you probably wouldn't want to use it to demonstrate something but if you are just talking such as you would for Skype, it's excellent. The sound is very good as well. Everything gets picked up very well and is clear from even a distance of 6-8 feet.

Excellent product!
An excellent product from Microsoft for a very low price. It has HD clarity. The in-built microphone is brilliant and covers your voice anywhere from the room. The camera software is easy to install (not even 5 minutes) and has option of picture capture, audio capture and video capture. It is easy to install as it has USB connectivity. It is easy to use with Skype and windows messenger. It also works brilliantly with Google hangout.
I highly recommend it.

Been using same model for over a year now hence ordered same for my cousin, no complains whatsoever. Hassle free installation & operation. Quality is upto the mark. Everything you can expect from a 1000 bucks webcam
